I've been on a smash burger kick lately, so I had to to try this spot. Burger was good, however the fries are pretty basic. $1 extra for sauce? A bit pricey. Seating area indoors is bar seating, but good enough to come with a friend. Otherwise, consider takeout. Also, one or two small tables outside if the weather is favorable. All in all, it was a pricey meal, but a good one.

This place had been on my list for a while now and I was finally in the area to try it... it did not disappoint! The burger was messy in all the best ways, fries were fresh and crisp and the service was fast! The pace was pretty small and parking could be better but I enjoyed it. Will be back to try other things.

Yelp Hot New Business strikes again. I was driving on the 405 heading back to South Bay and decided to see what new food joints were in the area. Wanna Smash pops up and definitely peeks my interest. Forget about Five Guys, the 4 guys that partnered to bring the Wanna Smash concept to life are true homies. The passion they all expressed when explaining how they came to be, what it means to them and how the product evolves is inspiring. You can't help but want to support them. This edgy burger joint tries to keep it family friend with the double entendres and fun vibes. With names like "the quickie" and "the happy ending ". You can't help but chuckle. I ended up going with a Hot and Heavy. My burger came on a potato bun which held up nicely to all the fixins. The yum yum sauce lived up to its name. I've been back a few times and it continues to be an excellent experience. There is a 4-some where you can try 4 different burger styles, single patty.

Came in on Halloween night, famished. Cool looking spot. Very punny. Great service, super friendly. Best smash burger I've ever had. As a sidekick to a true burger connoisseur (my girlfriend), I've had my fair share. The order of fries was HUGE and perfectly dusted with seasoning. Definitely didn't need orders for 2 people but.... Well, we ate both orders. I'll be visiting next time in town for sure!

Hilarious attention grabbing name. Wanna Smash? Yes, I'm Down To Feast. Little burger joint with a whole lot of swag. Adult themed names on their menu, you can't help but be amused. Cashier/manager even was chill and fit the charm of the place. So how's the burger, nailed it if you know what I mean. Super flavorful and not overpowering seasoning. Just right. The price point is a bit on the high side but they back it up. Anyway, definitely give it a try and bring a friend with bene.... Ok, need to refocus my head here.

Wanna smash?!?! Then come here to get your smash on...smash burger that is. Sorry no funny business allowed, get your head out of the gutter!!! Wanna Smash is a tiny little restaurant that serves up some of the best smash burgers in town, along with their perfectly crispy fries. They have four burgers on the menu with fun names like The Quickie, The Happy Ending, The Cowgirl, and The Hot & Heavy. I highly suggest The Happy Ending. It is a nice mix of sweet from the teriyaki and savory from the grilled onions. My boyfriend liked The Hot & Heavy but it was a little too spicy for me. Unfortunately, they have been out of ice cream the couple times I've been here, but I would really like to give their shakes a try as well. Seating is a little on the tighter side, so it's not the best place to eat as a large group, unless you're taking the food to go. Be aware they unfortunately do not have a bathroom available, so make sure you go before coming here. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge, but so far have been pretty lucky in that regard. Yet even with these small setbacks, I will still award them the full 5 stars because the food is just sooo good, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly and good at their jobs. I highly recommend Wanna Smash when in the Van Nuys area.

Been here a few times tried the cowgirl tried the hot and heavy tried the happy ending. The milkshakes haven't tried yet still. Seasoned fries are good. Parking is limited but I've been lucky. Staff is nice and there are a couple seats for dining here. Not a long wait, worth a try and detour

Smash burger perfection! Dropped in for the first time today and was not disappointed. Small inside with just enough space to order and go or bar seating available for a few. There's also seating right out front. Service was perfect and appreciated. Staff seemed very grateful that we stopped by and spent our money with them. We shared "the hot and heavy" burger and it was DELICIOUS! All of the ingredients just worked together. However, "the happy ending" is the sleeper. It was soooooo good. The type of good that still lingers even after you finish chewing. The teriyaki and yum yum sauces combined are just something that you've NEVER tasted before. It's honestly so good. Burgers are a tiny bit sloppy but nothing that you can't handle. Don't forget to add a lemonade. Will definitely return.
